About Us:

We here at The Brownfield Rec. Dept. offer a variety of programs to serve not only our immediate community but our surrounding ones as well. Our local school district titled SAD 72 is made up of many small towns and consists of four Rec Directors to serve not only their direct town but to also exist as one working unit to serve the entire district and the community as a whole. In Brownfield we try to offer activities and events to cater to all populations, some include senior brunches, summer camp, community suppers and benefits, a wide range of sports, Halloween, Christmas, Easter and sledding parties, family movie nights, homework help programs, many fundraising events and more.

We are thrilled to announce that in 2008 the town acquired what was locally known as the “old Brownfield School” now titled The Brownfield Community Center (BCC).

This facility has allowed us as the Rec. Dept. to grow substantially, not to mention aid the town in housing its own growth and development by allowing events and programs to take place within; some to include Tai Chi and Yoga. This facility has also been able to aid the Snowmobile Club in hosting meetings, the Special Olympics in training for various sporting events, the Fire Dept in hosting training certification programs, the local Fish and Game and The local chapter of Boy and Girl Scouts and more.

This facility has also been available to use for any party or event. If interested
in the use of this facility please contact us at the Rec or the Town directly.

We here at the Brownfield Recreation Department work extremely hard to provide you all with plenty to do, still though we are always looking for positive volunteers, coaches, mentors and role models.

If you are interested in participating with or as a member of our Rec Committee please let us know. Even if you have an idea or a program that you would like to see offered in town; we are open to all anything. After all we couldn’t do any of this without people like you.
