In 2007 the Town of Brownfield purchased the “old Brownfield Elementary School” and we have since been working hard to convert it into our Community Center, the BCC. It is so refreshing to have a facility in town solely dedicated to the community.

Within the facility…

The large “Camp Room” is home to our Summer Camp Program for 5-8 year olds. This room is equipped with many games, arts & craft items, toys, books, Legos, Barbies, a water table, and much more.

The “Teen Room” provides a safe and welcoming place for teens ages 9-14 to play games, do arts & crafts, use a computer, play air hockey or foosball, read, or just chill.

We are also blessed to have the “Meeting Room.” This room is available for rent for community as well as private functions. The Rec. Dept and the Burnt Meadow Snowmobile Club currently hold our monthly meetings here. Yoga and Drivers Ed Classes are held here as well.

The Rec Directors Office was moved over to the Community Center in the summer of 2008, (it was a rainy day project for the summer camp kids). They enjoyed painting and decorating the office. Please feel free to stop in and see it any time we are in!

We are well on our way to renovating our Kitchen and are still looking for a donation of cabinets. The kitchen is for rent for community and private functions as well.

Our Gymnasium is small and quant. It is the perfect size for our Tai Chi & Zumba classes that are held here each week. It is also home to Town Meetings and Rec functions. And yes it is available to rent. It is the perfect space for birthday parties, family reunions, and large meetings.

The calendar of events and availability for the Community Center and Rec. Dept. can be viewed on our Google Calendar. This is updated regularly and will post any cancellations due to the elements. Also, please note that the BCC is available for rent for events, birthday parties, family reunions, etc... Contact the Town Office for more information.

BCC Rental Fees:

Gym and Classroom Hourly Fee - $20 for 2 hours - w/out kitchen
Gym and Classroom Hourly Fee - $25 for 2 hours - with kitchen
Gym and Classroom Daily Fee - $50 day w/out kitchen
Gym and Classroom Daily Fee - $75 day with kitchen

Security deposit for any space - $50
