Brownfield Rec Ski Program
Details:
This is a 5 week course offered to all children and adults in the surrounding community, regardless of ability level. Lessons will be provided to children and adults on a first come first serve basis and are offered at no charge by experienced ski teachers. Participants do not need to attend all 5 weeks hence the fees are a weekly rate. Transportation is also on a first come first serve basis and priority will be given to those that sign up for all 5 weeks.
Transportation:
Brownfield Rec will provide volunteer drivers that will transport participants to King Pine Ski Area in Madison, NH every Sunday starting February 12 and continuing through March 18th. There will be no program on Feb 19th as it is vacation week. Participants will meet at the Brownfield Community Center (BCC) at 11:30 ready to board the Town van. The van will leave by 11:45 and arrive at King Pine by 12:30. Skiing will begin at 12:30 and run till 3:30. Participants will then load the van and leave at 3:45 for arrival back at the BCC by 4:30. Maximum number of individuals in the van is 12, including the driver, to allow enough room for gear. Children under 12 may not ride in the front seat. It is the responsibility of the parent to provide a safe and adequate car seat for children 8 and under. Children will not be transported without the proper car seat. Participants do not need to ride in the van to participate in the ski program; you may provide your own transportation to the mountain and therefore avoid the transportation fee.
